Back from Africa

Yesterday morning arrived back from his national eleven Arsene Copa who was member of his national team on Africa Cup. Gabon player of ETO did not have chance to play on the Cup but he has some interesting stories to talk about.

This January did not start very well for me I had serious problems with my ankle ,two days before national team start I left the training and coach offered me to come back to Győr instead of travel with them..A doctor checked my ankle and said that this is not a big problem so luckily I was able to be inside the team because another player had also serious injury. I was very happy about to be with them and because it was not a serious injury but it was a bigger pleasure to participate Africa Cup.

Beginning of January we played two training matches against Mozambique and won and I was playing on that matches. On Africa Cup I was on the bench by tactical decisions , I am so sorry about that because it would have been a very big step forward for my career to play . Finally technical team did not risk at all and same team played on three matches . In group D we finished third position , same point like Zambia and Cameroon and only goal differences were counted so we did not go forward.

Despite to not playing on the matches it was a great experience to meet big players and train together with them .

I am back to here now in a very good shape and I can play concentrated and in good condition this season .- said to us Copa.

Helytálltak a fiatalok,de kikapott a csapat

Ötvenöt év után véget ért egy nagyszerű sorozat, jövőre nem az első osztályt kezdi csapatunk annak ellenére, hogy a nyolcadik helyen zárt az együttes. A csapat ma kilenc újoncot is avatott, valószínű minden idők legfiatalabb győri ETO-ja lépett pályára az NB I-ben, és először játszott egy ikepár a több, mint ötszáz bemutatkozó közül: Nagy Ádám és Nagy Bálint. Ami a találkozót illeti, a Debrecen ugyan végig fölényben játszott, de a mieinknek is voltak ügyes megoldásai, Medgyes, Nagy Á. és Szabó Tibor pedig közel volt a gólszerzéshez, de nem jártak sikerrel. A házigazda némi szerencsével jutott vezetéshez, és aztán az első félidőben eldöntötte a meccset, az ETO akadémistái viszont helytálltak, és bízunk abban, hogy eljön az idő, amikor újra az NB I-ben szerepelhetnek majd. Néhányan biztos nem nálunk, de talán többen a 2017/18-as szezonban az ETO színekben. Ehhez kívánunk sok sikert mindenkinek. (Fotó: Nemzeti Sport)

Fiatal csapattal megyünk Debrecenbe

Az utolsó mérkőzéstől függetlenül eldőlt: a Videoton, a Ferencváros, az MTK és a Debrecen indulhat a nemzetközi kupában, így a már tét nélküli mérkőzésen a Győri ETO FC csapatában bemutatkozhatnak azok is az első osztályban, akik eddig csak az NB III-ban szerepeltek. Mindez azt jelenti, hogy az első kerethez tartozó labdarúgók közül csak az akadémisták utaznak el a vasárnapi mérkőzésre.
