Brave winning for our team in home field against Debrecen ,it was the end of Sunday evening match. Our team already scored a goal in 28th second by a nice shot of Linas Pilibaitis. First half Győri ETO FC drove the match and at the beginning of second half referee decided red card for Valentin Babic who was very surprised . So from this time DVSC was driving the match and Szasa had sensational defending and our team tried his best to defend our goalpost against away team’s strong fighting. In the same time if we were more precise at sixteenth line we could have another goal. This great performance gave us the third position in championship.

Győri ETO FC: Stevanovic Babic, Stanisic, Fehér, Szabó, Kink (Dinjar), Pilibaitis, Józsi, Tokody, Kiss (Nicorec), Aleksidze (Brnovic).

Herczeg András: - The truth is that their first goal came very early and that has decided the feeling of the match. It was very hard to redefine our team after the goal. We tried to drive attacks , but Győr defended very precisely and tactically. In the second half we had some nice chances but the way of our game was a broken and we were not able to go trough their defending line. Congrats to Győr for their win !

Pintér Attila: - It is good that we scored a goal at the beginning of the match because before that we had only possibilities so this time scored a point to a very-very good team. If a little bit more precise passes and more actions had been done from our side we would have more chances. Our team showed his strength when playing with only ten men for a half time so that is why I am really happy about our performance.

Helytálltak a fiatalok,de kikapott a csapat

Ötvenöt év után véget ért egy nagyszerű sorozat, jövőre nem az első osztályt kezdi csapatunk annak ellenére, hogy a nyolcadik helyen zárt az együttes. A csapat ma kilenc újoncot is avatott, valószínű minden idők legfiatalabb győri ETO-ja lépett pályára az NB I-ben, és először játszott egy ikepár a több, mint ötszáz bemutatkozó közül: Nagy Ádám és Nagy Bálint. Ami a találkozót illeti, a Debrecen ugyan végig fölényben játszott, de a mieinknek is voltak ügyes megoldásai, Medgyes, Nagy Á. és Szabó Tibor pedig közel volt a gólszerzéshez, de nem jártak sikerrel. A házigazda némi szerencsével jutott vezetéshez, és aztán az első félidőben eldöntötte a meccset, az ETO akadémistái viszont helytálltak, és bízunk abban, hogy eljön az idő, amikor újra az NB I-ben szerepelhetnek majd. Néhányan biztos nem nálunk, de talán többen a 2017/18-as szezonban az ETO színekben. Ehhez kívánunk sok sikert mindenkinek. (Fotó: Nemzeti Sport)

Fiatal csapattal megyünk Debrecenbe

Az utolsó mérkőzéstől függetlenül eldőlt: a Videoton, a Ferencváros, az MTK és a Debrecen indulhat a nemzetközi kupában, így a már tét nélküli mérkőzésen a Győri ETO FC csapatában bemutatkozhatnak azok is az első osztályban, akik eddig csak az NB III-ban szerepeltek. Mindez azt jelenti, hogy az első kerethez tartozó labdarúgók közül csak az akadémisták utaznak el a vasárnapi mérkőzésre.
