Team objectives and club culture
Both József- professional director of Győri ETO FC welcomed main team football players on season start 2009/2010 before their training. They had discussion behind closed doors but some information he shared with the public, also.
When I have arrived to here a year ago, my first thought was to build a club culture for the reserves. I was thinking of a creative atmosphere where we can create European style humanity and professional values.
What happened in here year by year? We can see that the reserves has style and image at ETO , which is a creative, visibly fighting playing mode but this does not mean that we are raising champions now. We can also see that there is a situation to have better positions on competitions or teach the children on high level.
Győr already has today a talented elite, which people in mentality and in attitude are step forward and assuring the future of the club. These steps forward and continuously developing possibilities are seen for me and I am informing the club about them and now we are arriving to the question : how can be the NB second team integrated to the first squad?
What is this club culture ?Every important club has an own style what is their own signature. It means the philosophy, which also means that every player has their own responsibility and own objective and everybody must keep the rules. Perhaps there is Barcelona or Manchester United have their own signature and they have their own style and they are not allowed to make an interview with the media with hothead sentences.
What does this mean for the professional ETO football players ? It is not depending on their nationality it does not matter that they are Serbian, Georgian, Latvian , Estonian. We do not want mercenaries who are playing just for their money and leave quickly, we want them to be responsible for five hundred children who are learning the football in here and be their icon. They have to be responsible for thirty professional colleagues who are working behind the lights from morning to night and also other workers of the club who are doing their best for the players to help their work to be the most comfortable. Also there is the owner who invested huge money to create a first class infrastructure. Of course but not at least there are the fans who were cheering fro us and three times more than ten thousand people came in the last half of the year to the stadium and showed their commitment. It is sorry that that we were not able to use their support and made them disappointed.
For the start I can say that with our work, with our lifestyle we have to build sympathy and it have to be clear for everybody that the teamwork is over everything-closed his words József Both.
