Attila Pintér did not change at all- discipline is
Many of the players do not like his style and others also do not like his assertive personality. Attila Pintér won championship with Ferencváros and was Cup winner with Sopron team but fall out from the league with Vasas. ETO signed a contract with him for the set in order the team and be effective with them. This is a very actual objective now when one of the Győr team player’s Dániel Völgyi said in an interview that if the new head coach not let him play on the matches the club can lend him to somewhere else because he won’t work with him. This situation is very interesting and we have asked the new head coach that his habit is changing by knowing this information…
-The team decisions are depending only on you ?
-In professional work the responsibility is mine and I am deciding everything- said Attlia Pntér, new head coach of ETO FC.
-Offer of Győr was a surprise for you ?
-I would lie if I would say that I did not wait for a good offer. I was sitting without the bench for three years, but its not a habit with me to knock on the club doors for crying for work and bench. I was very proud when Ive heard that my name was raised and it is a great pleasure for me to be the head coach of Győr squad. It will be a great experience to work in here and I think it is the same feeling for the football players, too.
-If we talk about playing What are the expectations on you in Győr, what are the objectives for you at ETO for the next season ?
-We are starting a three year period and the first year is the first stairway position. We will see what we are able to do within a year. One thing is absolutely sure: we are always playing for the win. There is no other objective.
-Is the actual squad fitting to this objective?
-This is not a question what I am able to answer right now. You have to know that next Monday when the preparation will start every information will be communicated. Everybody will know who will be the team squad of ETO.
-This is a diplomatic answer but it seems to be a hard start at Győr especially in changing-room and the players wont say hurray to you. Are you changed and already not so short-tempered?
-No, no I did not change at all ! But why would I change?
-When you became a trainer you had special experiences like with Ferencváros - where after you left the club couple of the players wrote a letter to the press saying that they never will work with you again .-,maybe after this you will not be in warm blood again.
-No, no ! I wont change anything form that time ! Things what I did or said were said for the club where I did work for. The success, the win was my motivation and I worked from my best knowledge everywhere. On the other hand it is unnecessary to mentioning repeatedly the past. I am already not interested in the things that happened. I am looking forward because nothing benefits from the past. Last three years I had enough time outland travelling and learned a lot.
-Were have you been ?
-I went mostly to Netherland. I have visited the matches, the trainings and was prepared for the continuing. One article or one book wont be enough to summarize what I have seen. Talking hours wont be enough for introduce the changing of playing system and new and newest basic tactics . I was dazzled by Barcelona : Josep Guardiola- lets say-was not a highly professional trainer when reached the top and not just because of he has magnificent players but also he has great expressions on moving them. In Hungary we always hear critics of trainers when a left leg player plays on the right wing but this is not disturbing for Catalonian players or trainers. Lionell Messi shows great performance in this position with opposite leg , but it is better to do not continue the cases
-You are saying that you did not change at all, but I am interested in that you will use nasty words in Győr squad or Attlia Pintér style will be more polite in rating them?
-It is an easy question to answer: I have phone calls from many of my past players who were working with me. They are interested in my opinion and we discuss many things. There are more on that side than those who wanted only receive lot of money without performance and did not like my habit on the other side and habit what is not changing in me. I have to underline again that I will do everything for the club and for the success.
