Creditable farewell to European League
It was a big silence after today evening 2-1 result match in dressing room of ETO. We lost against Dinamo Zagreb in second leg of play-off, but guys of Győri ETO FC had nothing to be ashamed of after the kick-off. Nicolas Ceolin scored for our green-whites the first and best goal of the match , and this goal stopped the opponents as later said their coach Halilhodzic Vahid. After this a questionable penalty eleven goal closed the first half and an another penalty eleven for the opponents was decided in the second half, so penalties won the match. Aggregate 4-1 result for the home team plays forward but our guys said farewell to European League proudly.
Congratulations to players of ETO who were cheered by our fans who were clapping their hands on the stand.
Halilhodzic Vahid : It was seen today that we have a good and long experienced team. I would like to say congratulation to my players ! After receiving the goal I saw on them the big physical pressure but we wanted to fight for the win anyway. Finally our win was well deserved, but a lot of work have to be done on the pitch and outside the pitch,too. It was hard to win but enough for the next round !
Pintér Attila: We played what we planned before,and first we drove the match. The situation have to be watched later that it was an 11 penalty , because we had that goal in the worst minute. Three goals-,its not possible to score in Zagreb to them. In the second half we were honestly doing our job and guys showed that we can count always on them. We lost on a good match, congratulations to my Croatian colleagues, I wish them good luck for heir championship and for their international matches !
We would like to thank for our supporters following us to so this far distance, and it was especially a big happiness to hear their cheering in European league matches! But i also would liie to say congratulations to my players for their international matches participating!
