EL: Győri ETO FC-Dinamo Zagreb 0-2 (0-2)

Today evening Croatian championship winner team was our guest in the stadium. The brilliantly playing visitors quickly shot two goals at the first half and our hardly defending guys were not able to play more precise. In the second half after some changes our team became more active and had some nice chances and were partners in the high level play but fast and well playing Dinamo was better and we had not too much chance against them. We are sure that it will not be easy to score goals in Zagreb, but guys will try their best in the second leg of play-off.

Hallihodzic Vahid (Dinamo Zagreb): I am glad to see our winning. We were working hard on preparation because I became their coach three days ago. We knew that home team is very good one, but I think our win was well deserved. We are not sure about who will go to the group stage because Győr finally won against a very good French team before.

Pintér Attila (Győri ETO FC): We knew that Dinamo has talented players and we were well prepared but when we made personal mistakes then they immediately reacted and scored goals to us. Later we closed our lines. We also had chances but left them this time. Summarizing today evening I can tell that it was good match for the supporters, we lost today but there will be a second leg and we will do everything and anything for the bravoure in there,too.

Helytálltak a fiatalok,de kikapott a csapat

Ötvenöt év után véget ért egy nagyszerű sorozat, jövőre nem az első osztályt kezdi csapatunk annak ellenére, hogy a nyolcadik helyen zárt az együttes. A csapat ma kilenc újoncot is avatott, valószínű minden idők legfiatalabb győri ETO-ja lépett pályára az NB I-ben, és először játszott egy ikepár a több, mint ötszáz bemutatkozó közül: Nagy Ádám és Nagy Bálint. Ami a találkozót illeti, a Debrecen ugyan végig fölényben játszott, de a mieinknek is voltak ügyes megoldásai, Medgyes, Nagy Á. és Szabó Tibor pedig közel volt a gólszerzéshez, de nem jártak sikerrel. A házigazda némi szerencsével jutott vezetéshez, és aztán az első félidőben eldöntötte a meccset, az ETO akadémistái viszont helytálltak, és bízunk abban, hogy eljön az idő, amikor újra az NB I-ben szerepelhetnek majd. Néhányan biztos nem nálunk, de talán többen a 2017/18-as szezonban az ETO színekben. Ehhez kívánunk sok sikert mindenkinek. (Fotó: Nemzeti Sport)

Fiatal csapattal megyünk Debrecenbe

Az utolsó mérkőzéstől függetlenül eldőlt: a Videoton, a Ferencváros, az MTK és a Debrecen indulhat a nemzetközi kupában, így a már tét nélküli mérkőzésen a Győri ETO FC csapatában bemutatkozhatnak azok is az első osztályban, akik eddig csak az NB III-ban szerepeltek. Mindez azt jelenti, hogy az első kerethez tartozó labdarúgók közül csak az akadémisták utaznak el a vasárnapi mérkőzésre.
