EL: ETO will play with Nitra
Pairing of European League first qualifying round was finished yesterday in Switzerland, Nyon. Győri ETO FC will meet in EL with Slovakian team of Nitra.
Győri ETO FC in EL first qualifying round will play with Slovakian team FC Nitra, and they will be the home team at first. Timing of matches : first match 1 July, second match will be 8 July. If ETO will win, they will play in the second qualifying round with Kazakhstan team Atyrau .
Tibor Klement, managing director of Győri ETO FC said: -I talked by phone before the draw with club president, Csaba Tarsoly, who said to me if my hand will be lucky at the draw, our opponent team will be Nitra. To be really serious, we will save a lot of costs by not travelling to a long distance by airplane in the first round. Technically it is important, that we will play with a good country team, and we know their football culture .This weekend we had a preparation match with other Slovakian team Zilina and it was not just a fortune thing, headcoach Attila Pintér was thinking about our future and possible drawn opponent team , this is the reason why we organized this training match. I hope the best, I think ETO is able to go forward.
What is a good thing in the first round for both teams : they will not travel too far , but it will not be so easy in the second round . If ETO will be able to win against Nitra , they will play against a Kazah team which is a far country.
Attila Pintér, headcoach of ETO : I think it will be a very hard match, Slovakian team is very aggressive and they playing hard style. If I remember well, their team has a lot of young talented players and some old routine players are in their team, too. Of course we would like to win ,and we will do our best to go forward second round, and travel to Kazakhstan..
ETO was playing UEFA European League (UEFA-Cup) match last time two yeras ago and won against Georgian team FC Zestafoni in first round, and in the continue played with VfB Stuttgart, who stopped them.

Opponent team of Győri ETO FC will be FC Nitra and they finished the season fourth place in the Slovakian national championship. Team of Ivan Galád has 48 points on 33 matches, and was only 8 points left from the third place and has 25 less points than first place team Zilina.
