A lot of fans were interested in the match in a great weather played match in ETO Stadium. The risk was big because of the bronze and gold medal were under question now. Our team played in disciplined and well organized game and got the three points in European League. The quality of the match was higher than it is usual in championship. Hero of the match is Stanisic , who was defending well fighting of Videoton and finally in a lucky situation shot brilliantly and got three points for the team of ETO. Thanks for the fans for their cheering. It was nice guys !

Bekő Balázs: - The match had two parts. First half was ours and we had chances but we were not so lucky and not scored. In the second part ETO changed its positions and it made us crazy and they became better. In the final we received a goal. Equal result would have been more appreciated.

Pintér Attila: - First I would like to congratulate to the team because the guys have been criticized past year without any case, and they showed now, that as foreigners they can fight for the club from their heart. If we are summarizing the whole year the team was not lucky, but they were lucky now in the first half of the match. First half Videoton was much more effective and we were not able to play what we wanted and we were in rush. In the second half we played what was decided and we won with a lucky shooting goal, but it was well deserved if we look at back for our yearly performance. I am sorry about that Vidi lost his championship winning in here now, but that is how the football works. I would like to thank you for Mr. Csaba Tarsoly who trusted in me.

Helytálltak a fiatalok,de kikapott a csapat

Ötvenöt év után véget ért egy nagyszerű sorozat, jövőre nem az első osztályt kezdi csapatunk annak ellenére, hogy a nyolcadik helyen zárt az együttes. A csapat ma kilenc újoncot is avatott, valószínű minden idők legfiatalabb győri ETO-ja lépett pályára az NB I-ben, és először játszott egy ikepár a több, mint ötszáz bemutatkozó közül: Nagy Ádám és Nagy Bálint. Ami a találkozót illeti, a Debrecen ugyan végig fölényben játszott, de a mieinknek is voltak ügyes megoldásai, Medgyes, Nagy Á. és Szabó Tibor pedig közel volt a gólszerzéshez, de nem jártak sikerrel. A házigazda némi szerencsével jutott vezetéshez, és aztán az első félidőben eldöntötte a meccset, az ETO akadémistái viszont helytálltak, és bízunk abban, hogy eljön az idő, amikor újra az NB I-ben szerepelhetnek majd. Néhányan biztos nem nálunk, de talán többen a 2017/18-as szezonban az ETO színekben. Ehhez kívánunk sok sikert mindenkinek. (Fotó: Nemzeti Sport)

Fiatal csapattal megyünk Debrecenbe

Az utolsó mérkőzéstől függetlenül eldőlt: a Videoton, a Ferencváros, az MTK és a Debrecen indulhat a nemzetközi kupában, így a már tét nélküli mérkőzésen a Győri ETO FC csapatában bemutatkozhatnak azok is az első osztályban, akik eddig csak az NB III-ban szerepeltek. Mindez azt jelenti, hogy az első kerethez tartozó labdarúgók közül csak az akadémisták utaznak el a vasárnapi mérkőzésre.
